My car supports wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which always bothers me. But this is something of the past as this Oro AAI box P3 Pro by AutoCast didn't only convert my wired CarPlay and the Android Auto to wireless, but it also gave me access to stream social media, videos, movies, shows, and the music from all the popular platforms you could think of thanks to its Google Play Store support that gives you access to millions of apps with no restrictions, plus a lot of other convenient features that will take your driving experience to a whole new level. So, let's dig deeper to show you everything you need to know. Let's start with the unboxing. You get the user manual and the quick guide, which are helpful to quickly get familiar with the available ports and setup instructions. Then, we have the Oro AI Box P3 Pro, which is about the same size of a donut. On the back, it has a USBC port, HDMI output to connect a secondary display if needed, and another compartment for the physical SIM and SD card. We will talk about all these features later in the video.
Then we have the 30 cm angled USBC cable needed to transfer power and data to the device, a bypass power cable, and lastly, a USBC toa adapter in case your car only supports a type-C connection. As I mentioned before, you can use the AutoAI Box P3 Pro to get wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, or a standalone device to stream media from all popular sources to your car's screen. The latter will require an internet connection. And in this case, you have multiple ways. Either through your phone via a hotspot using the devices Wi-Fi connection, a physical nano SIM with a data plan, which you can insert in the dedicated slot on the back, or purchase a cloud SIM from AutoCAT.
The cloud SIM doesn't require identity registration or a physical SIM to be delivered. It works like an eSIM which can be activated via QR code using the autopilot app on your phone. Plus, it gives you multiple advantages. It automatically selects the best carrier available in your current location, so you don't need to stick to a specific one that might not have a strong network in certain areas.
All plans give 10 GB per month with no rollover. You can pay in advance from 30 days all the way up to 12 months and the higher you go, the lower the monthly cost. Cloud SIMs are only available in these 24 countries. You will find all the terms on the website. And now let's put the AutoCast into action to see how it works. So, here's the moment of truth. Now, I have the AutoCast box in my car to give it a try. And the first thing you need to do is to make sure your car's infotainment system has the Android Auto and the Apple CarPlay functionality enabled. In my case, it's located under setup. then general, then projection settings. My car supports wired Apple CarPlay and the wired Android Auto. Some cars do have Apple CarPlay only while others do support both.
But it doesn't matter because when you take a look here at the bottom, you will see that we have a switch that will allow AutoCast to connect to your car's infotainment system, either through Apple CarPlay by moving the switch to the left or Android Auto by moving it to the other side. And once the device is connected to your car's infotainment system, it will give you both wireless Android Auto or wireless Apple CarPlay.
And to me, this is a killer feature because if you have a car that only supports Apple CarPlay while using an Android device, you can still get the Android Auto functionality wirelessly with this box, which will solve a big problem for you. Now, let me connect it using the included USB cable and give it like 30 seconds to start. Now the device is ready and the first thing you will see is the built-in software. It will show you some home screen widgets that you can reorder by dragging them like this. Or you can tap and hold on any of the widgets and delete it from the list. Or you can add more by tapping on the plus button.
And here we have things like weather, speed, navigation, music, sim mate, and Bluetooth phone. And at the bottom right corner we have four shortcuts that you can also customize by tapping and holding. This will allow you to delete any of these shortcuts and use the ones you want. Moving to the apps screen, you will see a lot of apps that are usually restricted on Android Auto or Apple CarPlay like YouTube, Amazon Prime, Tik Tok, Netflix, Disney Plus, IP TV. In addition to the normal apps like Spotify, Apple Music and a lot more, we also have access to Google Play Store that will give you the option to download millions of apps and games on the device. So, let me first connect to the internet to show you how it works. So, you can swipe up from the top to access the quick settings. And I'm going to use my phone's hotspot to access the internet because currently I don't have a physical SIM or a cloud SIM installed on the device. And then I'm going to open let's say Google Play Store. When I scroll down, you will start seeing the apps and games showing on the screen and you can download whatever you want.
And when you open an app like YouTube for example, let me try to play one of the videos. So here is one of my videos. Let's skip the ad. And the video is playing in full screen view. And if you want, you can tap on the back button to exit the full screen view and then scroll to play whatever videos you want, including YouTube shorts. So let's try one of the shorts. And here is how it works. So you can uh consider this as an Android tablet but in your car. On top of this, you have the ability to open two apps in a split screen view.
So for example, if I have YouTube, I can also open Tik Tok. And when I hit confirm, now I have YouTube and Tik Tok side by side and both are working just fine. You can start scrolling to play the Tik Toks and the sound will come from your car's stereo like this. So you can start swiping and at the same time you have YouTube on the other side. You can resize the windows by by moving it like this and then switch the sides. You can swap apps by doubletapping on this bar in the middle. And you can also save this combo if you want to use it in the future.
And this is how it works. The last thing to show you is the uh AI assistant you have in the device that will allow you to do a lot of things like navigation, opening apps, and so on. So let's give it a try. Navigate to Dubai Mall. As you see, it immediately started the navigation to Dubai Mall. Let's try to open some apps. Open YouTube. YouTube is open. And here you go. You can use the voice assistant to do some actions like opening apps, navigating or calling someone. But if you still want to use the wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, when you go to the apps screen, you will see an app here at the top left corner called Multiplay.
Tapping on it will open the Bluetooth connection. And either you have an Android phone or or an iPhone, you can use the wireless connection. So now I'm going to connect via Bluetooth from my Android phone and it will immediately start the wireless Android Auto connection even though the box itself is connected to my car's infotainment system through Apple CarPlay as I mentioned at the beginning. And now I have the Android Auto functionality as well wirelessly without any wires which is a great feature. Everything is working as expected and as you see it's very responsive.
No problems. I can immediately start the navigation. So, you get all the functionalities you need without any compromises. Let me also show you how Apple CarPlay works. Here I have the 17 Pro Max and I'm going to go to the Multiplay and connect to the box via Bluetooth. So, here you go. Now it's connected and Apple CarPlay is currently loading. And here you go. Now you also have Apple CarPlay wirelessly available for you which is great. Everything you might need works without any problems. And as you see the device is very very responsive and everything works as expected. Now, it's time for some pro tips about the device. And the first one is to check your car's compatibility. To achieve this, head over to autocast.com. Scroll down a bit, and you will see a drop-own menu that will allow you to choose your car's make a model to check if it's compatible or not.
I'm going to also leave this link in the description to make things easier for you. Talking about the technical specs, the device is rocking the Snapdragon S625 chipset, which is known for its high performance, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage. Plus, you have an SD card slot that can make your storage go up to 256GB. And lastly, it has a mini HDMI port that will allow you to connect a secondary display. So, if you are planning to install a display for the back seat in your car, it got you covered. I tested this feature myself and it works quite well as shown now on the screen. Let's end this video by talking about the pricing. Now it's the perfect time to get your hands on the Oro AI Box P3 Pro thanks to the 35% off Black Friday sale.
Not only this, but you can get extra 10% discount using the channel's promo code IDT10. That means you can get it for only $22410 down from 383. By this, I'm done with the review, and here are my final thoughts.
