I tested Gemini's recent imagetovideo feature powered by Veo3. It can convert any still image to an 8-second video with dialogue, sound effects or music in just few minutes. I got to say that this feature will take our photo and video editing to a whole new level. So, let's jump into it to show you how it works. Let's start with the requirements. The imagetovideo feature requires Veo 3, which is only available for AI Pro and Ultra users. It generates an 8-second video in 720p resolution with a VU watermark at the bottom right corner and an invisible synth ID digital watermark. The feature is available on the web via the Flow Film making tool or through the Gemini app. In this video, I will be using the Gemini app to show you some examples. And now, let's begin. Before jumping to the next chapter, let me introduce you to mobile trends by Wondershare. Switching phones can be a hassle. Transferring data, photos, contacts, even your WhatsApp chats can feel like a nightmare. But with mobile trends by Wondershare, it doesn't have to be. To transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iOS using the official way, I need to factory reset my iPhone.
And the same applies the other way around. Additionally, WhatsApp business is not supported, which makes it even worse. But with mobile trans, you can transfer or merge 10 types of WhatsApp data like photos, videos, audio messages, chat logs, stickers, etc. between iOS and Android without the need to factory reset. Plus, it supports WhatsApp business. It's simply amazing that Mobile Trends successfully transferred almost all my file types, my important chats, and the frequently used the stickers to my iPhone. This feature alone makes mobile trans worth trying.
And it's not only about WhatsApp. Mobile Trans can also be used to transfer your phone's data between iOS and Android without the need to factory reset any of them. You can say goodbye to data loss worries by using this solution. If you need to replace your mobile phone or manage your phone data on a daily basis, make sure to download Mobile Trans by clicking the link in the description. And now, let's get back to the video. So, let me show you the first example. I started by activating the video option which gives me access to VU3 because I'm an AI pro subscriber and the same applies to the AI Ultra subscription.
Then I attached a photo from my gallery and then typed a command prompt saying make a video of this person saying hello everyone and welcome to the channel. After a couple of minutes, it generated a 7-second video. So let's take a look at the result. So, let me play it in Google Photos. And the first thing you will see here is the VU watermark at the bottom right corner as I mentioned at the beginning of the video. And we have another digital watermark in the video file itself.
And here we have the resolution. When you take a look here, it's a 720p resolution in landscape view. So, let's unmute the video and listen to the audio. Hello everyone and welcome to the channel. Hello everyone and welcome to the channel. As you heard, the accent and voice are far from realistic which is expected. But beside this, I do really like how it animates my eyes, my eyebrows, and my facial expressions while talking.
So let's take a look at it one more time. But let's mute the sound. It certainly looks like an AI generated video, but overall the outcome is very very promising. The second issue is the last 4 seconds of the video were completely silent. It was only moving my face without any dialogue. But this is a small problem because you can simply trim the video and only use the working part. Now let's move on to the second example. And this time I will give it a photo of a butterfly painting on the wall.
And I will ask Gemini to make it fly. So let's see what's going to happen. I did attach the same photo and give it a command saying make the butterfly fly off the wall. And now let's tap on send. It took about 2 to 3 minutes to finish the video. And I downloaded it to Google Photos to be able to pinch to zoom. And this is how it looks. And let's play it one more time. As you saw, the scene was very dramatic. It started by moving towards the butterfly and then it took off.
Plus, it added some sound effects to mimic the wings sound. The only problem I have with this video is the animated butterfly colors doesn't match the original one. But overall, the quality is impressive. I still have a couple of examples to show you. But first, if you like any of the wallpapers you see in this video, they are now available in the wallpapers by in-depth thick reviews app. And here are the latest additions. Let me also remind you that you can download these wallpapers locally on device. So, you can apply the Android 16 wallpaper effects on them. And you will find the Google Play Store download link in the description. And now, let's get back to the video. Now, let's try it on animals.
And this time, I will give it a photo of my dog sitting on the couch. And I will ask it to make it jump and play. So, let's see what's going to happen. So, here I attached the photo and the command saying make the dog jump and play. And let's tap on send. Now, it's done. And I got to say that this time the result is even more impressive. So, let's take a look at it. Last but not least, I have a photo of my car and this time I want Gemini to make my car drift. So, let's take a look at the results. So, here I attached the photo and the command says make the car drift. And now let's tap on send. Unfortunately, I couldn't show you the last example because I exceeded my allowance. It says here, "Too many requests in a short time period. Try again later." So, this is how Gemini's image to video feature works. I'm really impressed by the quality and the possibilities it will unlock.
I hope Google will make this feature available in Google Photos, which will make it even more convenient. Please let me know in the comments what do you think..
